The Truth About Forever: By, Sarah Dessen

Hi,
I am a little more than half way through in The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen. This book is so far really good. I have never read a Sarah Dessen book, so I was eager to see how she writes. I have really enjoyed the plot so far. The main character Macy Queen is 16 years old. A horrible thing just happened to Macy and her family, her dad passed away from a heart attack. Macy was a big daddy's girl so this was a big heart breaking thing. So far Macy had a boyfriend name Jason Talbot. They broke up a few pages in because Jason thought Macy was getting to clingy. She was sending him love notes to his email. He really didn't like it! Before they broke up Jason asked Macy to fill his job while he was at brain camp for the summer. One big thing Jason did not do was kiss Macy in public, she wasn't to excited about that one either. Well the story takes place in hot summer, Macy is getting ready for college so she is studying for the SATS. Working, studying, and helping her mother takes most of Macy's time up. But by the end of her job at the library she meets many new friends. This book is a fun and exciting book except there is some sad parts in the road. I really encourage all of you to read it. It would totally be a great book to start your summer. Now I know there is some sad parts but you don't know until you read the book how good it is! If you take my word this for sure will go on my top favorite book list, and I am only a little more than half through! It was a great "blog post book or independent reading book" to end on for this school year. I hope you enjoyed all my blog posts! I really enjoyed your comments! Thanks a ton, and have a WONDERFUL summer! :)

Luv ya,
Isabel

Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging By: Louise Rennison

Hi guys,
This book is absolutely hilarious. I am sure you can tell by the title! This story is told through the journal of a teenage girl named Georgia Nicolson. Georgia is growing up in England with her best friend Jas and the rest of the group. The group is known as the "Ace Gang." They are a group of best friends who share every secret they have, have sleepovers every weekend,  and talk about boys who they snog (kiss). Georgia lives with her mother, father and her little sis Libby. There is another family member but I'm not going to spoil it for you! By the middle/beginning  of the book Georgia and her bestie Jas already have boyfriends. Georgia and Jas are dating twins. Georgia is dating Robbie and Jas is dating his twin brother Tom. Bad things go down with Georgia and Robbie. Never any good things as you can tell from other stories and how my blog is going so far. :) This book has so many crazy made up words. The author wrote a glossary for all the words. Every couple pages I had to go back and look in it! This book is fun and outgoing. It makes you laugh 24/7!  If you feel tired or stressed, pick this book up right away. The cover of this book pops out too. I hope you all read this book, I know you will enjoy it! I borrowed it from Ms.Tabor so find it there!!! Hope you have an amazing week! I know this weekend will be fun. :)

Thanks for reading,
Isabel <3

It's Raining Cupcakes By: Lisa Schroeder

Hi guys,
Don't you think the title of this book is so fun and happy? Well I can't see you right now but I know you wanna hear about it. This book has a great story. It is a about a girl name Isabel that is 12 years old. Funny right because thats my name too! Isabel is a girl that's quiet but always up for anything and is always determined. She has never been out of her hometown Oregon and she is dying to. Well the truth is her family cannot afford it. She goes on a adventure with her dad to the dollar store. She finds a passport holder. She starts to jump with joy because this could be the moment her dad says yes buy it because we are going on an airplane tomorrow. Of course that was just a day dream. She kept begging and begging, at last her dad let her buy it. When she got home she put all these little notes of places she wants to go to. Isabel's aunt is a flight attendant, so she never got why they have not been out of Oregon. Isabel lives right next door to her best friend Sophie. I mean what' s better than living next to your best friend! Isabel just heard that her and her family are moving on top of her moms laundromat well now a cupcake shop a couple blocks away. Isabel is devastated because she loves living next door to her best friend. Isabel's mom is an amazing baker and has always wanted to open a shop not a laundry place thats always quiet. Isabel and her mom just heard about a contents for the best cupcake recipe. If they win she will win a trip to NYC to compete against other recipes. Her best friend Sophie wants to do the competition to (Sophie always gets her way). When Isabel and her mom don't see eye to eye about which recipe to pick a bigger disaster occurs. I don't want to give away anything else away! I cannot wait to tell you more in my next blog post! Hope you all have a great break! :)

The Ending of Gabby "A Story of Courage and Hope" By: Gabrielle Giffords and Mark Kelly

Hi Guys,
I am just at the last part of this AMAZING book. It really is life a changing story. Each chapter has a great meaning in the title. If you look at the table of contents that could be the story. Starting from chapter one The beach, moving to Big Dreams, and coming across Baby Steps and even ending with Gabby's Voice makes it hard to believe that she has been through so much and has almost fully recovered. On the front of the book it is a picture of her and Mark (her husband) before the shooting. On the back it is her and Mark after the shooting. She looks like a new person but has the same sweet and engaging smile she always had. Katrina asked in my last blog post about her recovery. Her recovery was the hardest time in her life, in the book it describes every minute. She had many people surrounding her at all times. Even though it was so hard for her to talk and move during than and still today she always has great manners, and always is ready for a new task. Someday I would love to meet Gabby and tell her that her story and her are my true role models. If I were Gabby I dont think I could have done what she did and is doing. I really encourage you all to read it. Truly Truly Truly! You may even cry but I do not want to spoil any more. :) Hope you all are having a great week!

Gabby "A Story of Courage and Hope" By Gabrielle Giffords & Mark Kelly

Hi,
Over the break I went to Barnes and Noble and saw this book. I have always had it on my "books to read list", so i picked it up. The back of the book already told me it was going to be a great book. Right when I got home I started to read it. The first chapter is called "The Beach". It told us about Gabby and Marks life before this tragic event occurred. It also told about how Mark is a astronaut and that he was spouse to leave earth a few days after the shooting happened. Gabby always wanted him to do what he needed before anything was done for her. It showed that their relationship was so cute and they both were always happy. The second chapter talked about the day gabby and the nine year old girl got shot. This was a very sad chapter. Every word I read I kept thinking of this phrase: "You can be anywhere at the wrong place and at the wrong time". This is what happened to gabby and the nine year old girl. This book is really a life changing book. I have a gut feeling that the book is going to get better and better.  In Abby's blog post she described this book the same way I felt. This book is non fictional and life changing.  You all should really read it, I would be happy to let you borrow it. Have a great week! :)

The Ending Of The Fashion Disaster That Changed My Life- Lauren Myracle

Hi guys,
I hope you all are well. By the end of class on Monday I finished this book. This book is for sure on my top ten favorite books. This book was wrote by the main character Alli. The plot was told in a journal format. This showed her personal view on how the plot moved. I wish they could make a version of this book just from a birds eye view, maybe even from one of Allis classmates. Even if it is not one of her best friends. I would just like to see a different person perspective. Alli really grew up during this whole book. If you look at the first journal entry to the last you can tell the differences. I really liked how crisp and engaging all of Allis journals were. It really brought the book together. I also really like how Alli went out of her inner circle of friends to reach out to new people not only Kathy. It shows that we all should do that too. I really encourage all of you to read this book. It really is a book that you cannot put down. I got this book from Ms.Tabors bookshelf so run there and get it tomorrow!  Lastly, If you wanna know anything more or want to know more about Alli and the plot of this book don't hesitate to come and ask me! I would be more than happy to tell you about it! :) Hope you all have a wonderful break!
Xoxo,
Isabel

The Fashion Disaster That Changed My Life- Lauren Myracle

Hi,
I just recently started The Fashion Disaster That Changed My Life by Lauren Myracle. As you can see Lauren Myracle is my favorite author. I really like how she writes her plot in stories. This book caught my eye because it is about a girl that is in 7th grade (like me J). The cover of this book caught my eye also. It does not tell anything about the plot it just is a vibrant color. When I started to read this book, I felt like I was in the story being the main character, Alli. Alli has many embarrassing moments in 7th grade. One of them is which she goes to school with her mother’s underpants clinged on the side of her. Every one made fun of her. And many jokes were made. One of the only people that stud up for her was her best friend Kathy. Even though there is a popularity contest in her grade. Kathy is always a good friend to have. Alli is a type of girl that will never not stick up for herself either. I feel she is a huge role model to anyone who reads this book. I also feel that this book has a theme to it. It is telling us something. You will not find out the theme until you read this book, believe me you will love it. If you would like to know anything about this marvelous book, don’t hesitate to ask.
